Estonia Visa Related
For non‑European nationals applying for a visa to Estonia, there are short‑term and long‑term visas.
A short‑term visa is a D‑Visa issued for the purpose of staying for a period of less than 6 months per year. To apply, the employer must register with the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board.
In order to apply for a longer stay, you need to obtain a residence permit. For the first two years, you can apply for a long‑term visa.

Estonia Virtual Asset License Information
Virtual Currency Service Provider License (Digital Assets Service Provider License) – Eligible for application:
- Virtual currency wallet service
- Virtual currency exchange service
- Virtual currency transfer service
- A company in the name of or on behalf of a virtual currency issuer, or a company that offers or sells public or targeted proposals related to the issuance of the currency or the provision of related financial services.
Please note:
Virtual asset licenses will not be granted in the following cases:
- The information submitted by the business shows that the business is not operating in Estonia or has no significant connection with Estonia; or
- The members of the board of directors do not reside in Estonia.
Basic requirements for application:
- Paid‑in capital: (If cryptocurrency transfer service is available) at least EUR 250,000 / (For other services) at least EUR 100,000
- A business plan that complies with the Anti‑Money Laundering Act must be provided.
- An auditor must be appointed.
- A compliance officer who can work permanently in Estonia and who works exclusively for one company must be hired.
- The minimum percentage of its own volume must be held in the volume of transactions performed within the scope of the service provision.
- The country of residence of the executive must be in Estonia.
- The directors of the Company must hold a university diploma and have at least two years of experience in the relevant field.
- The company must have its own business premises in Estonia.
- Procedures must be provided for customers and KYC procedures for customers must be carried out.
- You must have an account in the European Economic Area (EEA Zone).
